Community Engagement

Seminar

The community engagement program also provides opportunities for students to work with local organizations and communities to develop and implement sustainable projects that promote social and economic development. These projects include community-based research, capacity-building workshops, and livelihood programs.

Overall, the PCU Student Community Engagement program aims to instill in its students a sense of social responsibility and encourage them to become agents of positive change in their communities.

Exposure to new ideas and perspectives. Seminars provide students with an opportunity to learn about new and innovative ideas and perspectives in their field of study. This exposure can broaden their understanding of the subject matter and help them develop critical thinking skills.

SPORTS & RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

PCU DOLPHINS 🐬

PCU’s sports programs focus on the overall development of their student-athletes, emphasizing not only athletic ability but also academic success and character formation. Student-athletes are urged to reconcile their responsibilities on the field or floor with their academic obligations. Overall, the PCU Varsity Team exemplifies the university’s core principles of quality, discipline, and service.

As part of the school’s celebration of its foundation anniversary, the Philippine Christian University (PCU) hosts an annual sports intramurals. Sports intramurals are a school-wide event that involves various sports activities, tournaments, and games involving university students, faculty members, and staff.

The event often begins with an opening program that includes a parade of athletes and the burning of the torch, which represents the commencement of intramurals. Various sports competitions, including as basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, swimming, track and field events, and other indoor and outdoor sports activities, take place throughout the intramurals.

PCU Sports Intramurals’ major purpose is to promote physical health and sportsmanship among the campus community. It encourages students, teachers, and staff to join in various athletic activities, have fun, develop friendly competition with one another, and foster camaraderie within the university.

DEVELOPING CHRISTIAN FAITH
