An Open Letter to all the Great Moms

“First off, I want to tell you how wonderful you are. I, as a daughter, will never be able to
be who I am today without you. You relentlessly loved us, you fought so hard for us.
You inspire us in so many ways and I know that you will always do whatever needs to
be done to make sure that we are being provided for. Whenever you feel unneeded and
unwanted, please be assured that your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed.
You are the strongest woman that we, your children, have ever met.
You loved us even in times that our actions and words were completely unlovable, you
taught us unconditional love. Thank you for the unyielding patience and ineffaceable
memories.
Thank you for always finding a way to provide for us even if those meant personal
sacrifices. You never know how much we wish and hope to be half the woman that you
are, so that someday when we have our own kids, they’ll look up to us just like the way
we look up to you.
Our seeming successes or achievements are simply add-ons to us, for those were all
the value of your mothering. None of the usual colloquialisms we give to parenting done
right even matter when we think of how you mothered us.
We are nothing but products of God’s grace and miracle.”

You are the living proofs of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, and you are our Proverbs 31:25-27.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the sweet, great and loving mothers!
